Job Description

The Dahlia Campus for Health and Well-Being will provide a place for community members to connect with their neighbors, learn new skills and find supports they need to increase their health and well-being. The site will feature a hub of services and programs (cooking and nutrition classes, family education, support groups, urban farm and gardens, exercise classes, family therapy, etc).

POSITION SUMMARY: The Dahlia Campus Site Coordinator will be the public face for the Dahlia Campus, and is responsible for orchestrating site activities, including trainings, site tours, room reservations, gym use, community kitchen use, and special events for the entire Dahlia Campus. The site coordinator engages and partners with community members from diverse backgrounds to draft plans and implement programs successfully. The site coordinator is the lead for MHCD events at the Dahlia Campus. The Site Coordinator supports the Child and Family Director of Operations and Community Engagement. The site coordinator is friendly, professional and organized.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Build and maintain positive relationships with neighbors, local community-based organizations, and Mental Health Center of Denver stakeholders.
  2. Coordinate with the Dahlia Campus Outreach Coordinator.
  3. Facilitate communication and understanding of site programs, services, goals and values.
  4. Participate in outreach efforts to find and implement programs, services and special events.
  5. Maintain Dahlia Campus master calendar to include farm, greenhouse, gardens, kitchen, gym, preschool, Day Treatment activities, as well as classes and trainings. Address conflicts and coordinate with greater MHCD master calendar.
  6. Book and facilitate Dahlia Campus tours, regularly and upon request.
  7. Collaborate with Central Office Assistants, Administrative Assistants and Executive Assistants to create streamlined room reservation processes.
  8. Respond to external and internal communications within 24 hours, sooner when possible.
  9. Participate in meetings as requested.
  10. Other duties, as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school or above.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years experience in a role with public relations, administrative, and customer service duties.

Skills: Spanish bilingual preferred, highly organized, able to clearly communicate, able to successfully work with a wide variety of people, customer service orientation, conflict resolution, proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office 365.

Oversight Responsibilities: Isthe lead for MHCD events and general operations at the Dahlia Campus. Collaborate with other MHCD departments and staff, ,to coordinate front desk functions as well as outdoor functions (farm, greenhouse, gardens) and events. Vet events program and activities at the Dahlia campus to insure compliance with MHCD policies, procedures and guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Dahlia Operations Coordinator and day porters.

Machines and Equipment to be used: Computers, calculators, fax machines, telephone and a variety of other office equipment.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching, ability to use office equipment.

Typical Mental Demands: Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.

Working Conditions: Maintain flexible schedule. Frequent evening and weekend responsibilities.
