POSITION SUMMARY:  BRIDGES court liaisons will provide assessment, case management, service linkage and referral coordination to consumers involved in the criminal justice system where competency has been raised.

NEW HIRE SALARY RANGE: $18.90/hr. - $22.70/hr.


  • Maintain judicial neutrality while prioritizing consumer needs.
  • Provide cross agency system navigation when appropriate.
  • Ensure consumers access to needed services and community resources by arranging for transportation, or if necessary, by taking the consumers to the service in personal vehicle (business insurance on vehicle reimbursed by MHCD).
  • Meet with consumer’s and complete necessary screenings and assessments to create a supportive plan that will assist client in moving their case through the criminal justice system efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Behavioral Health to ensure that competency evaluations and restoration are completed, and that the appropriate information is being reported to the court in a timely fashion.
  • Identify obstacles and barriers consumer may be experiencing in the competency evaluation/restoration process and develop creative solutions to overcome these barriers.
  • Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders, outpatient providers, public defenders and the Office of Behavioral Health to ensure that continuity of care is maintained.
  • Identify and work with potential natural support systems such as neighborhood networks, churches, and community organizations.
  • Make full utilization of the consumer’s support systems in order to encourage treatment program engagement.
  • Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders in order to develop a network of services in the community that can be utilized by participants in the Bridges Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Bachelor Degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services degree.

Must have valid Colorado Driver license and a recent clean driving record. Ability to transport consumers in dependable vehicle.

As a Clinical Case Manager, you will be providing transportation to the people we serve in your vehicle. You are required to carry Business Use coverage on your policy (additional cost is reimbursed).


One-year experience in mental health or human services preferred.         


  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques. Understanding of consumer’s right to privacy and confidentiality (basic HIPAA principles).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours which may be required.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, maintain confidentiality, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.
  • Must have a clear understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, personal boundaries and be self-assured in a variety of situations.
  • Have the ability to de-escalate and remain calm.
  • Someone who is energetic, with a positive and creative attitude is necessary.
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices. 


MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:  Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching.  May require lifting up to 50 pounds.   Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
