POSITION SUMMARY: Provide clinical and administrative oversight to a diverse clinical outpatient treatment team specializing in the care of Spanish-speakers and the Latinx/Hispanic community across the entire lifespan. Maintain and enhance ongoing delivery of outpatient mental health treatment services as well as associated community partnerships. Support the ongoing training and development of supervisees as well as the implementation of specialty treatment initiatives. Oversee team operations and work to maximize efficiencies while ensuring the highest quality of care possible for the individuals we serve along with the well-being and meaningful engagement of staff members.

 

STARTING SALARY: $66,000 - $74,000/yr 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide both clinical and administrative supervision for El Centro de las Familias providers.
  • Work with individual team members to solve day-to-day clinical issues and to optimize service delivery to meet the needs of the individuals and families we serve.
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily operations of the team.
  • Monitor and oversee team budget and strategic planning.
  • Facilitate and manage the hiring process for clinical positions on the team.
  • Provide input and feedback regarding individual team member performance in terms of strengths and opportunities for growth. Conduct disciplinary discussions and actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate training and foster development of clinical staff to ensure a consistently high quality of care with an emphasis on ongoing growth and learning.
  • Ensure that standards of quality and efficiency in service delivery and documentation are met.
  • Collaborate with fellow Mental Health Center of Denver programs, community partners, and referral sources through prompt and regular communication to enhance the services provided.
  • Support the collection of all required outcome, evaluation, and billing data.
  • Lead and actively participate in weekly team administrative meetings and clinical supervisions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services and Child & Family Leadership Team.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in psychology, social work, or other human services field. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist licensure required. CAC/LAC preferred.

 

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

 

EXPERIENCE: At least three years in mental health or human service field working with children, adults, and families in the Latinx/Hispanic community. Two or more years of supervisory and/or program management experience required.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Self-motivated and directed, demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, have experience with infrastructure development and hold a high value for diversity.
  • Ability to establish collaborative partnerships with therapists and fellow community organizations.
  • Ability to assess needs of children and their families and develop supportive engagement and therapeutic treatment recommendations.
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnosis (DSM-5), treatment interventions, and psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the realm of clinical supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility, adaptability as well as the ability to focus attention on workflow processes, procedures, budgetary guidelines, and documentation/productivity standards.
  • The ability to laugh with others and have a sense of humor.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English-speaking required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Yes, clinical staff.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/SCHEDULE: Full-time. Outpatient clinic hours vary by location but include Monday through Thursdays 8am-7pm and Fridays 8am-5pm, some flexibility depending on schedule needs is possible. May involve some evening or occasional weekend events.

 

PHYSICAL REQIUREMENTS:   Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
