POSITION SUMMARY: Provide clinical and administrative oversight to a diverse array of clinical services within the Child & Family Department, including access to care, co-located and integrated care, as well as service coordination. Insure staff receives appropriate supervision and support. Maintain and enhance ongoing delivery services as well as associated community partnerships. Foster engagement, facilitate ease of access, and coordinate with other teams, departments, and community partners. Support the ongoing training and development of supervisees as well as the implementation of new initiatives. Oversee the management of team operations and work to maximize efficiencies while insuring the highest quality of care possible for the individuals we serve along with the well-being and meaningful engagement of staff members.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide both clinical and administrative supervision for Child & Family Access, Child & Family Integrated Care, and Child & Family Service Coordination clinicians.
  • Work with individual team members to solve day-to-day clinical issues and to optimize service delivery to meet the needs of the individuals, families, and community partners we serve.
  • Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations of the teams.
  • Monitor and oversee team budgets and strategic planning.
  • Facilitate and manage the hiring process for clinical and support positions on assigned teams.
  • Provide input and feedback regarding individual team member performance in terms of strengths and opportunities for growth. Conduct disciplinary discussions and actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate training and foster development of clinical staff to ensure a consistently high quality of care with an emphasis on ongoing growth and learning.
  • Insure that standards of quality and efficiency in service delivery and documentation are met.
  • Collaborate with fellow Mental Health Center of Denver programs, community partners, and referral sources through prompt and regular communication to enhance the services offered to those we serve.
  • Support the collection, monitoring, and analysis of all required outcome, evaluation, billing, and budgetary data.
  • Lead and actively participate in team administrative meetings and clinical supervisions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Intensive Treatment Services or Child & Family Leadership Team.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in psychology, social work, or other human services field. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist licensure required. CAC/LAC preferred.                 

 

EXPERIENCE: At least three years in mental health or human service field working with children and families. Two or more years of supervisory and/or program management experience preferred.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Self-motivated and directed, demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, have experience with infrastructure development and hold a high value for diversity.
  • Ability to establish collaborative partnerships with supervisees, colleagues, and fellow community organizations.
  • Ability to assess needs of children and their families and develop supportive engagement and therapeutic treatment recommendations.
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnosis (DSM-5), treatment interventions, and psychotherapy modalities (with particular expertise in children, adolescents, and families).
  • Knowledge and expertise in the realm of clinical supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility, adaptability as well as the ability to focus attention on workflow processes, procedures, budgetary guidelines, and documentation/productivity standards.
  • The ability to laugh with others and have a sense of humor.
  • Duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/SCHEDULE: Full-time. Hours may vary by location but will generally fall in the facility hours of Monday through Thursdays 8am-7pm and Fridays 8am-5pm, some flexibility within these times is possible depending on schedule needs. May involve some evening or occasional weekend events.

 

PHYSICAL REQIUREMENTS:   Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
