POSITION SUMMARY: Using human-centered approaches, gathers and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data in support of the development of comprehensive evaluation and analytic models reflecting specified goals and objectives. Research will be performed both internally across the organization to determine treatment effectiveness, organizational and program processes fidelity, information systems utilization and functionality, consumer engagement, and other behavioral health related research.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serve as a liaison between the customers, staff, and stakeholders (internal and external) and the Information Systems team.
  2. Collect and document data through interviews, surveys, and other methods, along with conducting analyses and developing summary reports.
  3. As assigned by Director, the Chief Information Officer, and other project leads, support various projects, consulting on the design of the methodology, collecting/analyzing data, and summarizing findings.
  4. Complies with data collection and analysis protocols and ethical research standards with regards to all research methodology and analysis.
  5. Support the development of Information Systems solutions for internal and external customers.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with program directors, program managers, and other subject matter experts to better advise on and support data collection and evaluation/research reporting.
  7. Assists the organization in building capacity to use research to drive innovation, along with strategy and decision-making processes.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related field (psychology, program evaluation, applied research, public health, or a social work/social sciences degree with strong emphasis on quantitative and qualitative research), required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years’ experience within a health care-related environment working with electronic health information and within a complex organization. Experience in health care need not be at a provider organization.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of information analysis and research methodology techniques
  • Thorough understanding of electronic health information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data collection instruments
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from all walks of life
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and proficiency of MS Office software including word processing, spreadsheets, database, e-mail
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, and/or R preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds.   Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
