Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:   Support the department and people we serve and with basic computer troubleshooting, teach computer classes, support the Education program in a variety of ways with supervision of the Education program, implement creative ways to advance the 2Succeed program with technology. Create required data reports for the 2Succeed program. Work with people we serve that are interested in technology education or careers. Maintain and monitor local computers used by the people we serve.  Problem solve and ensure adherence to security procedures. Serve as a liaison to the Mental Health Center of Denver IT department to troubleshoot 2Succeed needs.

SALARY RANGE: $41,000/yr. - $51,000/yr.


  • Maintain, service and replace as needed, all technology equipment for the 2Succeed program in conformance with MHCD’s software, security, and configuration requirements.
  • Create accounts for the people we serve, update passwords and access levels as needed according to MHCD protocol.
  • Maintain user accounts.
  • Maintain and support the front desk station.
  • Provide training and classes to support Education Staff and the people we serve including but not limited to:
    • Excel
    • You Tube
    • Email/identity protection
    • Internet/identity protection
    • Keyboard skills
    • Online support for student/job seekers
    • Basic computer orientation
    • Provide question and answer labs for those we serve
  • Create/support required reports for Fidelity/DVR and data tracking in consultation with Business Intelligence.
  • Liaison to MHCD’s helpdesk and creates tickets to trouble shooting technology issues.
  • Create/support Education data tracking integrity and reports as needed in consultation with Business Intelligence.
  • Assist in the management of network infrastructure, including but not limited to network printers, copiers, fax machines, AV equipment, projectors, video conferencing equipment and secondary support for the telecommunication system.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies in accordance with MHCD policies and procedures.
  • Provide basic technical assistance to support people we serve and the Helpdesk.
  • Support IT department as needed, install, relocate, repair, maintain, configure computers, peripherals, network, patch cabling and communications equipment related to the people we serve according to the IT department specifications.
  • Act as the point of contact at the 2Succeed program for the IT department and help troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Provide coaching and goal planning with adult learners.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed. Provide services with a trauma informed approach.
  • Completes all required documentation.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Minimum bachelor’s degree in technology, education, human services or related field. Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner preferred or willing to become certified within a year.        

EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years technical experience in networking, Windows and Windows servers. Analytical proficiency and working knowledge of information systems.   Prior teaching or facilitating experience preferred.


  • Strong teaching skills.
  • Excellent IT troubleshooting skills, strong ability to recognize urgency and prioritize action.
  • Excellent organization, flexibility, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to share and teach technical jargon and specifics to the staff and people we serve.    
  • Will have access to confidential and sensitive personnel, financial, information regarding the people we serve. Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion. 


MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, fax machines, copiers, telephone, AV equipment and a variety of other office/clerical equipment. 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds.   Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
